Keep the touts out

posted by admin in Uncategorized

We’ve all seen them at gigs; the guys lurking near the entrance offering tickets for the upcoming event at vastly-inflated prices, while only offering those who have something to sell a fraction of the face value. Yes, the tout. One of my big pet hates, along with finding an r4i card with adequate memory and small children on long train journeys.
I actually once touted a ticket myself, accidentally of course. I had an extra ticket for a sold out More

Power of small stalls

posted by admin in Uncategorized

You’ve all seen those small stalls in shopping malls and we all do take the alternative route around to avoid them and stuff like that pretending to look the other way, but I can assure you those stalls work very well. When stalls are put up in malls and small shopping areas to promote a brand or a branch of a store or a product - they remain there for a long time. When you come back you never fail to seem it again.
What happens is then it does create a curiosity inside you, you might just google it and check out the company website. While your not really giving them any money by just visiting their website, your knowledge on the product is now known. So the next time your in a friends party and a teacher talks about a problem of finding cheap stationers that the school can afford, you immediately pass on the knowledge to her/him. This is how it works in other ways, you might have not necessarily needed the product yourself by you have got a potential customer for the company without them asking you to do it for them.
If she/he finds it good they would in turn recommend it to you where you would exchange the expensive 3M stationary in your office with theirs. A small chain reaction has been created here. You didn’t need it in the beginning but you eventually you did become their customer. In a very strange way the product is finally sold to you.
